I want to be a (fill this in) when I grow up

When I was about 5 years old or younger I had already chosen the career path that I wanted to undertake. I wanted to be a paleontologist! Sounds crazy right? Well I guess my fascination with the dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures came about when my parents gave me these dinosaur coloring books. They weren't the regular coloring books because they actually had credible and informative facts about the content. So yeah I basically got way interested in them. I was a 5 year old kid who knew what the difference was between a triceratops and a protoceratops and the fact that pterodactyls and pteranodons weren't actually dinosaurs but reptiles. So yeah, you can basically catch my drift. But yeah, when I got to like 6th grade I decided that a career in paleontology was kinda stupid here in the Philippines. The Philippines didn't even exist in prehistoric times for God's sake. So I kinda got into Law a bit. One thing that made me like it more was a bit silly. I watched Laws of Attraction and I was like "that's so cool!" I had already decided to take up Psychology or Political Science as my pre law course. I've been telling my family, relatives, friends and classmates that I plan to be a successful tax or corporate lawyer. I don't know why but for some reason I changed my mind. Last year I felt the urge to be a diplomat or at least someone who works for a global organization like the UN. I know that's going too far but a guy can dream, can't he? So now I'm going to take up International Relations Major in European Studies and then take my masters in International Studies abroad.I just want to experience what the world has to offer. The different cultures, traditions, food and the people in general. People say that it's going to be a long and hard way before I can accomplish my dream and there's a chance that I might end up as a professor (I don't want to be one) but I just feel like I can doing anything as long as I put my heart and soul into it!

That's my plan so far and I'm going to stick by it!

Looks like I will be follwoing in her footsteps as I am turning 40 this year and 1/3 of the way into my Masters degree but will be going on to do my PhD too. Life is alla bout experience!

Oh it's ok with the typos. I make a lot of them all the time. Thanks for the encouraging words and I wish you luck with the Masters and PhD.
